West Coast Wedding Show 2024 – A Success!
What a wonderful way to launch our new West Coast Weddings Shows. We are thrilled to unveil our inaugural show snapshots. It was a great occasion to reunite with vendors who infuse our local community with excellence and fresh perspectives, enriching the special day for our beloved couples. Graciously hosted at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering support.
The lobby of the Hilton Metrotown was adorned with a splash of flowers to welcome and point guests up the elevators to the ballrooms. As they arrived, they were greeted by the mesmerizing performance of Lucas from Musos Entertainment, whose guitar and harmonica set a delightful and airy ambiance.
Our team warmly welcomed attendees at the reception with an exquisite swag bag filled with treats, showcasing vendors guaranteed to make them pleased. We ensured all guests registered for the chance to win from our generous pool of prizes, valued at +$11,000, all crafted with love for our engaged couples. (Winners are announced here!) The best prize of all was, of course, the honeymoon trip provided by Marlin Travel: Destination Weddings & Travel by Kiki.
The next best thing in our swag bag was the latest issue of West Coast Weddings Magazine hot off the press! We are so proud that Gabe McClintock Photography blessed us with one of his iconic shots for the cover. This issue is brimming with local designers, fashion, shoots, and real weddings.
The event evolved into an interactive extravaganza, with The Phonix Band providing lively music, uniting everyone on the dance floor. Later, LORDNATION enchanted with a contemporary violin performance, adding a romantic flair. The Captivate Vancouver team brought laughter with their playful claw machine. At the same time, Proline Trading International Inc. delighted guests with an interactive bouquet booth, allowing attendees to craft and take home their floral creations. The Hilton Vancouver Metrotown team exceeded expectations, offering guests exquisite champagne to celebrate in grand style. Sonora Studio‘s 360 video booth and Vogue Portraits ensured our memories were documented in joyful excellence, while Blend Bubble Tea provided refreshing drinks throughout the day. Coffee Bike‘s booth served up freshly brewed delights to our attendees. The whole day was a culinary extravaganza with nibbles and sugary treats offered at every turn.
We were so proud to provide an impressive photo exhibition showcasing the talents of our local wedding photographers, complemented by a roaming bridal fashion show featuring stunning dresses from Kristar Studio. Everyone could not say enough about our bridal models, who certainly understood the assignment! They posed for photos with excited brides, danced up a storm on the Infinity LED Dance Floor (courtesy of Radiate Staging), and added such a fun element to the day. Attendees loved the idea of a ‘fashion show’ that lasted the entirety of the show and being able to talk about the dresses they saw with the shop owner in real time.
We did not forget our grooms, who deserve their own moment in the sun! Seville Tailors was there to discuss bespoke suits and show off some of their Vancouver tailoring history.
We were especially in love with the decor tableaus set up around the room—everyone was in awe of the DEPCOR’S spectacular white, green, and crystal table in the center of the ballroom! Paradox Events adorned the stage with brilliant color and unique backdrops.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all vendors and sponsors for making the inaugural West Coast Wedding Show 2024 possible and to our attendees who joined us for a joyful, warm, and memorable afternoon. In the words of one of our departing couples, “the best day planning our future together!”.
