Vancouver Island Wedding From Above…a helicopter elopement for Alicia & Johan turned into the most incredible day. Sunshine streamed down upon the couple as they wed atop a mountain peak, had a picnic in the snow and walked along the ocean’s edge. All in one day! 
Elopements are becoming the wedding of choice for so many in the last year. One thing that is becoming very clear is that eloping does not have to mean being casual. Alicia + Johan went all out to make their elopement a stunning occasion. 
We love Alicia’s beautiful gown which was perfect for trekking around the top of a mountain. Johan sported a grey/blue suit and tie. Alicia carried a unique dried flower arrangement in pastel shades. 
Once they had tied the know, Alicia and Johan tucked into a lovely ‘grazing’ charcuterie and champagne – a luxurious picnic to celebrate the occasion. Afterward, the couple went down to a private beach where they signed the paperwork to make it all official. 
The helicopter ride itself was spectacular. We think it’s pretty amazing that this helicopter pilot is also an officiant! We can’t think of a more West Coast Wedding than this – mountains, ocean, beaches, and views.
