Art in the Park Wedding on Vancouver Island...It’s not every day that we see a circular ceremony seating plan, hanging cakes, floral bowties, and a garden reception all in one! But this gorgeous concept designed at HCP Gardens in Victoria has it all. And an artsy concept that is oh so unique.

The first thing we love is the seating plan for the ceremony. It swirls around the couple, ensuring everyone has a perfect view of the vows (and the gardens!). The lovely shades of spring pinks, yellows, and peaches are crisp and vivid in the sunshine and are utterly delicious in the bouquets, on the cake, and across the inspo table.

The art is a truly special detail – you see everything from full-scale paintings in the garden to detailed sketches at each place setting. We see this idea being personal. A Van Gogh wedding or a Monet elopement? Why not choose a romantic Waterhouse theme? The sky is the limit!

Last but not least, the attention to floral detail with the bridal party and reception ‘painting’. The live sashes. bowtie with incredibly dainty work, cascading floral across the table, the tiny buds in the bride’s hair, the flowergirl wreath – it all paints a picture of romance and lushness. And a shout out to the amazing succulents!

DESIGN: “The creative team (all from Victoria, BC) put together art in the garden theme, with a bright sorbet color palette in shades of soft yellow, oranges, peach, and blush. We did a ton of intricate details, such as succulent belts for the bride and flower girl, a succulent bow tie for the groom, and a circle serpentine aisle surrounded by large-scale floral paintings and lush florals.
