Whimsical + Woodsy West Coast Wedding…inspired by the idea of a runaway couple looking to find harmony in nature together. This team of Vancouver island vendors created a love story in the forest at Cedar Haven. Nature is the backdrop, and boho love is the design. Rivkah Photography captured this unique wild love featuring a twig tree arch, candy apples, and trunk-inspired sweetheart table.
We love the sun-dappled forest at its best. Our coastal wedding couple walks hand in hand in the lovely shadows and poses atop a forgotten tree stump. The bride even takes the opportunity to swirl her lace skirt for the perfect photo! The twig ceremony backdrop is inspirational and ideal for burgundy and gold dahlias. The floral palette of fall colours is entwined with the ferns and fauna all around and boho rug.
The unique picnic details are the best moments of this whimsical + woodsy west coast wedding shoot (say that ten times fast!). The couple enjoys nibbling on goodies with taper candles, roses, and macrame vintage pieces around them, while the candy apples are just the piece de resistance. A simply pretty cake sits on a wicker stand with pillows, just waiting for the couple to come by and have their first taste. Bonus points for wonderful usage of doilies!
The bride shines in her lace gown which layers over a satin underskirt, and, of course, she has flowers in her hair. The groom ups the ante by pairing a casual shirt look with a wonderful plaid vest. This couple rocks in the hair department – we are not sure who has the better locks, but they both look amazing!
