Coastal Luxury Indian Wedding for TJ and Tirath showcased both the traditional and contemporary design that this couple dreamed of for their nuptials. The icing on the cake? The West Coast styled shoot in front of a serene lake and majestic mountains. An unusual juxtaposition of Indian luxury with the natural beauty of British Columbia.

We love the playful side that TJ and Tirath showed off along with the more serious poses. The wedding party was equally talented at this and the smiles on their faces are so much fun!  The newlyweds even went out in a canoe to catch the iconic west coast shot.

This wedding is so gorgeous with blush, burgundy and light green tones. The jewelry, henna, and Kirpan finish the stylish, yet traditional, costumes. The deep burgundy roses in the bouquets tie the rich textures and colours together. If you look closely, you can see the photos of those who could not be with them hanging from the bridal bouquet. The detail of the brides jewelry of burgundy stones being threaded through the groom’s attire is sublime.

Surfer Bride Adventure on Vancouver Lake...we don’t see a bride surfing in her gown every day, but we love it! Cassie, a great surfer, chose to celebrate her upcoming wedding with some talented waveboarding (she held her bouquet and drank champagne!!). Local British Columbia wedding photographer Esther Moerman took the epic photos and video and was excited to fulfill a bucket list item herself!

Stave Lake is just outside Vancouver, Canada, and was the perfect spot for the laugh-filled water shoot. Esther explains: “Cassie is wake-surfing from the back of the boat while we shot photos as fast as we could.”  Lake weddings have become extremely popular, but this takes the idea to a personal level.

Remember that Cassie is a professional, so don’t try to do anything outside your comfort zone! (It was safety first on this shoot…) But the idea of finding your true talent and expressing it in a celebratory shoot with friends or fiance is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure opportunity. Surfer Bride Adventure on Vancouver Lake will stay one of our favorite West Coast Wedding inspirations. We can’t wait to see what other exciting ideas may appear next!

Spring Romance Wedding Inspo! The spring vibe is so pretty with a blush pink-themed garden table and bride arrayed in veiling. The robin’s egg blue dishware and small pewter birds are tres adorable. Did we mention the bride wears flowers like they are diamonds? We were so in love with the ‘Seasons of Change’ project that we showcased all of it in the 2021 issue of West Coast Weddings Magazine. So keep your eyes peeled for the other seasons coming soon!

The bride is a darling with a whole ethereal feel.  Every detail is superb in soft shades of blush with a ribbon around her waist. Effortless ruffles make the look whimsical and reflect the magic of all that tulle. The piece de resistance is the live floral headdress that spills down the front of the gown.

The garden tableau is filled with peonies! They spill across the table, sit prettily on plates, and decorate the white-iced naked cake. Tall taper candles in silver pewter holders stand tall amid all the robin’s egg blue and bashful pink below. (Look at what is in that glass box filled with moss!) The small grey birds are just the perfect whimsical touch. 

This spring romance wedding inspo reminds us of the quote, “Take us to spring – let the flowers bloom, and our love grow.”

Seaside in the City Vancouver Wedding Inspo…an ocean elopement that is sweeter than sugar! We loved this shoot and were honored to feature it in our 2021 Greater Mainland Vancouver wedding magazine. 

The photographers who dreamed up the shoot storyline wanted to honor the couples who had to change their wedding dreams. They wanted to show the intimacy and love that comes with celebrating as a couple without guests. The quintessential Vancouver backdrop was perfect for showing the local look. 

West Coast Wedding Style

This couple is all about style. The bride has a delicious-looking confection of a gown with puffy sleeves and a floating skirt. The glasses are a unique touch for a bride—a shout-out to all the brides with big personalities. The floral design is a lush and intense burst of blooms featuring peach roses and tulips. The groom is GQ stunning in his suit and open shirt. 

We are especially taken with the feeling behind this inspiration palette as described by the photographers. “Jonah and I (The Augusts) dreamt up this styled wedding shoot back in the fall of 2020 and knew we had to be specific about where and when we should shoot it. We knew we needed a good storyline and felt a natural draw to the realness of being a bride or groom in 2020/2021. This shoot was inspired by all of the couples who were and are affected by this virus. It’s especially inspired by the couples who tied the knot anyways, all on their own. To the ones who embraced the quietness of eloping. The slowness of a small celebration. The realness of an intimate wedding.”

This BC Wedding story has it all – the rocky shoreline, the ocean backdrop, and even a barge floating by! The sprawling Vancouver skyline brings attention to the city sophistication of our couple and their romance, A true Seaside in the City elopement.

Beach Wed in Tofino – Brittany + Trevor put together a dream team of wedding vendors to help the two of them, along with their ‘bubble’ of family and friends, create a magical elopement on the beaches of Tofino.

The gods decided to be giving and blessed Brittany + Trevor with blue skies and sunshine over the ocean edge where they exchanged their vows.  Young, Hip and Married officiated the occasion so lots of love and laughter highlighted the entire ceremony.

The bride wore a stunning Laudae lace gown with a train proving that beach brides can still go formal! The dress featured a V-neck bodice and a form-fitting skirt. Brittany carried a gorgeous bridal bouquet filled with white flowers and pampas grass. Trevor looked great carrying it as well…we love grooms who carry the bouquet.

The newlyweds took advantage of their surroundings and were adventurous for their couple photos. They climbed up a rock face to get great cliff photos, wandered into the rainforest area, and ran along the beach. The Wild and Wed captured all these moments and, as a result, Brit and Trevor have some epic elopement photos. Beach Wed in Tofino is the way to go for a naturally beautiful west coast wedding. Blaylock Mansion is filled with many charming and romantic settings for weddings. This kind of ceremony location is an experience for the bridal couple and guests to remember. The bride chose to walk along a pathway to the ceremony. A wedding vista with a view to be sure!  

We love the bride’s style for this special day. A low V neck gown featuring a lace bodice and a beautiful flowy skirt. Her natural beauty is highlighted with long brown curls falling down her back. West Coast River Lodge Romance…an elopement filled with love and laughter. Add to that lace, a picnic plus a rustic venue and you have the perfect ceremony for two.

Elopements have become a necessity for the last year but it has also focused a lot of creative imagination into saying your vows intimately. Soon. we will be able to add guests again but the beautiful quietness and luxury will stay. Sweetheart tables filled with flowers, candles and food too pretty to eat make for unforgettable moments that are here to stay. 

The West Coast River Lodge is an amazing venue for this elopement tableau. Our couple share their hanging table for two with charcuterie and wedding cake. We love the pampas grass, greenery and flowers that grace the tableau. Stone walls, ferns and wood doors make perfect photo backdrops for this picnic elopement.

The highlight of this bridal palette is, of course, the gorgeous off the shoulder bridal gown featuring a fringed bodice and lace overlay.. The dramatic dress is paired with a brown felt hat and bouquet of  eucalyptus greenery and white flowers. Our groom stays with the relaxed boho look wearing a black fitted shirt. The bride graces a veil for the ceremony before changing out to the more casual chapeau look.

Tofino Beach Wedding for Liz + Cam...this inspired elopement took place at Cedarwood Cove Cabin. The couple’s day was filled with romance and laughter as they sipped on champagne, exchanged vows, tripped over the waves and enjoyed the sunset.

Karley, of Bracey Photography, caught some amazing shots as Liz and Cam had their first look and then walked to the beach for their ceremony. The peacefulness of the beach setting was perfect for the intimate ceremony where they exchanged vows. The natural beauty of a west coast wedding truly served as the backdrop to their special day.

Liz wore the perfect sophisticated lace gown for a beach wedding (we are also impressed with the heels on a beach!!). The V neck, fitted gown flared slightly along the bottom edge and she held a bouquet by Crab Apple Floral. The floral design included dried grasses, ferns, baby’s breath, roses and eucalyptus along with ribbons.

We love how this Tofino Beach Wedding for Cam + Liz brings all the love a wedding day should have and shows off the best of the West Coast landscape. Congrats to you both – best wishes for the future!
