Dreamy Mountain Vows on Vancouver Island…Kristee + Travis are quite the jet-setting couple! They have two businesses in Mexico and Canada; Fresa Weddings and Kay & Tee Boutique Rentals. So to say they are all about the pretty is putting it mildly. They also knew they wanted to wed in Kristee’s home country of Canada. They chose the stunning Villa Eyrie on Vancouver Island, where their ceremony and reception would look down from the top of the mountains!
We will let Kristee continue their wedding story. “Soooo, long story short, when we decided to tie the knot – it had to be on Canadian soil! He is from the US and had never been to Canada before our wedding! We planned, designed, and executed our wedding ourselves. We even brought Maria Limon from Here in Mexico to do our floral…it was a total dream! Travis actually said to me early on, “I want this to be my first Fresa Wedding” Reluctant once again, I said no way! I didn’t want him to have that stress! However, this was what he wanted, and boy, was I happy he did it. As I sat upstairs in the villa at Villa Eyrie, he and Maria, along with six decor vendors, made pure magic! I think there are not a lot of brides that can say their groom pulled off such beauty! LOL! “
We loved this wedding so much that we featured it in the 2021 print issue of West Coast Weddings Vancouver Island. The colours are a gorgeous palette of peaches and creams with a deeper terra cotta hue. Roses, dahlias, and ranunculus dance their way along the outdoor reception tables and the ceremony edges. Black candles set in gold candlesticks complement table settings of black dishes and antique goblets. And what a view everyone enjoyed as Kristee and Travis exchanged their vows. Guests relaxed in outdoor furniture areas until dinner, when they moved to a floral-covered farm table. The wedding weather gods blessed them with a perfect evening where food and wine were flowing.
We really can’t say enough about the exquisite style and beauty of this west coast wedding at Villa Eyrie. And we loved the sense of humor which struck on occasion through the decor. Kristee and Travis are the ultimate inspiration for dreamy mountain vows on Vancouver Island.
