A Sophisticated Gallery Wedding

A Sophisticated Gallery Wedding…The lace gown is perfect. The flowers hoops are unique and the children in the wedding party are exceptionally pretty…did we mention the bride wears some awesome specs?

Everything was perfect that day. Right down to it being the rainiest day of the year with a perfect two hour window to take the photographs in the Highlands. Welcome to Vancouver Island!

The bride was resplendent in her lace gown with flowing sleeves and a bow at the back. Her hair was loosely curled with a small braid entwined with flowers. The best part of Aggie’s bride style, though, was her glasses! The bridal carried a lush bouquet of blush and neutral roses, succulents, waxflower, and lots of eucalypti. We love Aggie’s request for one burgundy roses to be set into her flowers – a floral statement! The groom was stylish in his blue suit, blush tie, and floral boutonniere.

The ceremony was held at the Shelbourne Kingdom Hall in Victoria where lanterns and greenery lined the aisle. The bridesmaids and children were arrayed in various shades of blush pink and carried gold hoops featuring roses and greenery. Ban and Aggie exchanged vows and, once again, the rain cooperated as though it was watching the day.

The couple chose Fortune Gallery as their reception venue for 75 guests. Wine flowed along with canapes as friends and family danced under a ceiling floral installation of roses, ferns, and ivy. The amazing brick walls featured twinkle lights entwined with ivy – a wonderful photo backdrop.

We can’t say enough about this sophisticated gallery wedding. Friends and family worked hard to make sure every part of this wedding was amazing. Ben and Aggie concentrated on what was important to them on their special day – love, beauty, and friends.
