On March 29, West Coast Weddings welcomed couples and creatives to In Bloom at Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, transforming the space into something far more than a traditional wedding show.

From the moment guests arrived, there was a clear sense that this would be a different kind of experience. The energy was immediate, not overwhelming, but steady and intentional. Conversations were already unfolding, vendors were fully engaged, and couples moved through the space with purpose, not just curiosity.

Set across two ballrooms, the layout allowed the show to feel expansive without losing its sense of connection. There was room to explore, to pause, and to have meaningful conversations without feeling rushed. Even with over 70 vendors, the space never felt crowded. Instead, it felt considered.

That sense of intention was established right from the entrance. A soft, welcoming installation by Pampas Gal set the tone, introducing a refined visual direction that carried throughout the show. This was complemented by décor from Proline Events and Reel Silks, layered in a way that felt cohesive and elevated, while staging by Radiate Staging brought structure and presence to key moments within the space.
What made In Bloom stand out most, however, was the mindset of the couples attending. This wasn’t a crowd simply gathering inspiration for later. There was a clear level of intent in the room. Conversations were thoughtful, decisions were being made, and vendors shared that many of those same interactions translated into confirmed bookings within days of the show.
Alongside that sense of purpose, there was an equally strong layer of energy woven throughout the experience. Music by We Know Music DJ Services carried consistently across the space, while TenBC brought a more interactive dimension to the day. From live performances to a parade moving through the venue, and even a dancing bear that quickly became a crowd favourite, the show maintained a rhythm that kept guests engaged from start to finish.
Photo booth experiences added another layer of interaction, with The Lucky Booth and Dream Creatives Photobooth drawing steady crowds throughout the day. These moments offered a natural pause within the flow of the show, giving guests a chance to engage in a more lighthearted way before continuing their conversations.

Beyond the larger activations, it was the smaller details that shaped the overall experience. The roaming tiramisu service by The Roaming Bar became a standout element, adding an unexpected and memorable touch. Beverage offerings by Beeves introduced a thoughtful, non-alcoholic alternative, while Buttercrumbs added a sweet, familiar layer to the day.

Experiential services also played a key role in how guests engaged with the show. Persona in Palette offered live colour analysis sessions, creating a personal and interactive experience, while Carol McQuaid Art drew attention with her live 10-minute illustrations, giving guests something tangible to take away from the moment.

At the heart of it all was a vendor lineup that felt curated rather than crowded. Each business brought a clear perspective, allowing couples to explore options in a way that felt guided and intentional. Studio Muse by Harsheen presented floral preservation as a meaningful extension of the wedding day flowers, while Demin Photography offered a documentary-style approach to capturing it.

The fashion component, led by VIMO, introduced movement and visual storytelling into the space, with a portion of proceeds supporting A Wish to Wed, an organization dedicated to helping couples facing serious illness experience their wedding day.

For those considering celebrations beyond the local landscape, Marsha Steeves Destination Weddings BC offered guidance into destination possibilities, expanding the scope of what a wedding could look like.
By the end of the day, In Bloom left couples with more than inspiration. It offered clarity, direction, and in many cases, real progress. Conversations didn’t end at the show, they continued, evolved, and turned into tangible next steps.

With over 70 vendors and more than $20,000 in giveaways and prizes, the scale of the event was evident. What made it meaningful, however, was the way it brought together the right people, in the right space, at the right time.
With so many incredible vendors, entertainers, sponsors, and volunteers contributing to the success of this year’s Red Carpet Event, it is impossible to highlight every participant. We invite all guests and industry partners to explore the full directory available on our website.
