Dreamy Vintage Farmhouse with Moody Blue Gown

Dreamy Blue + Beautiful! This vintage farmhouse wedding has a wonderful colour conscious bridal ensemble. A gorgeous blue skirt, topped with a delicate white blouse, is the highlight of this mood setting editorial.

Bridal style is certainly ever changing! Lace, sleeves, capes, hats and head wreaths have all come around again. However, the beautiful colours that we are seeing on the runways, and on brides, this season are really causing a style sensation. The moody blue colour of this skirt is a perfect backdrop for the bouquet of rose coloured florals. Those blue + rose coloured ribbons trailing down…so wonderful. The table setting showcases tall candle holders nestled around a floral display filled with roses.

We especially love the vintage sewing machine table used for the desserts. The simplicity of a naked cake topped with a few florals makes us want to have a taste! (Not mention the berries, grapes and macaroons literally on the side) The invitation suite in shades of pink and blush create are just lovely. Can we just say that we wish we saw more draping on the inside of farmhouses? It really pops the wood colours with the flow along the ceilings.

Hat’s off to the team who built this dreamy vintage fantasy inside the farmhouse…one where we would all be more than happy to sit down and stay awhile. So much pretty!

Utterly Perfect Views for Goldstream Trestle Engagement on Vancouver Island

When we saw Steph & Jamie’s photo shoot we knew we had to share! Goldstream Trestle on Vancouver Island has never looked so good as our couple posed for truly outstanding shots. Of course, the views are amazing but so is the obvious love between these two.

Engagement Session Tip!

Engagement sessions are always fun when the couple and photographer choose a location that is filled with possibilities. If you, as a couple, have a special moment or place you would like included in your engagement photos be sure to let your photographer know. Don’t be shy! Lots of couples are now having photo shoots in a series of locations and even over several sessions. Let your imagination soar!

The Location!

The hike to Goldstream Trestle is one of the more popular hikes around Victoria and has a fair amount of elevation. Along the way you are treated with an up-close view of the gorgeous Niagara Falls. While not as big as that other Niagara Falls in Ontario, this waterfall in Goldstream Park is an impressive 156 feet (47 meters). Then there is the historic trestle itself, which stretches across the Niagara Creek Canyon.

Urban romance can sometimes be hard to find, but this Vancouver Island, urban wedding editorial, has a romantic atmosphere in every photo. This dramatic, inspirational shoot is filled with rich colours and traditional lace, showcasing a casual mix of beauty and urban chic. Our favorite things about this shoot are the little details that are so lovingly shot—the shoe buckle, the watch, the tied bow, and the socks! Every detail adds to the gorgeous urban wedding tableau.
