Glamour & Gold at The Wallace…so this is love! So says the sign glowing above the newlywed’s sweetheart table in this spectacular style shoot. Vancouver wedding professionals outdid themselves, showing off modern trends in a boho venue. What an honor to feature this pretty in our magazine!

The Wallace is a venue that has it all for the Vancouver bride. Industrial glamour mixes with sophisticated lines. Located on the waterfront of North Vancouver, it boasts amazing views of Vancouver Harbour—the perfect spot for a Vancouver wedding reception.

AJD Designs fashioned the floral masterpieces with textures and a trendy mix of dried and fresh flowers. The bride’s bouquet, created with pretty pastels and dark greenery, brought everyone’s eyes to the gorgeous bride. We especially love the ceiling masterpiece and the unusual use of palm leaves.

Let’s talk about the ivory-colored gowns (yes, you read that right – two gowns!) from Isabelle’s Bridal. This bride and groom are pinnacles of sophisticated style. Pinterest worthy in every way. The bride’s makeup is smoky and works with the palette around her and her smoldering groom!

Steveston Creative’s neon “so this is love” sign floated above all the pretty to give the ‘wow’ effect. Lonsdale Event Rentals, Mohani Event Design, and Pretty Things knocked it out of the park with this moody collection of beautiful designs. The black touches are perfectly suited to pop amongst the backdrop of neutral tones. The black candles, wine glasses, plates (with gold foil edges!), and black chairs are stunning. The paper suite is the gold standard bringing everything together with a bow.

The best part of this shoot is the real-life newlyweds, who you might recognize! Vancouver Warrior’s Lacrosse player James Rahe and his beautiful wife, Shustine. This is a true BC wedding-style shoot that brings together the best of Vancouver.

Bridal Grace and Style High Above Vancouver...we loved how pretty this styled shoot is so much that we featured it in West Coast Weddings Magazine’s 2021 Greater Mainland issue. The bride getting ready for her wedding is a special moment, and this shoot perfectly captured that.

The bride is the star in this palette, but a close second is the backdrop! The view of the skyline behind is amazing and creates an ethereal feel to the entire scene. Your photographer will love you if you have a beautiful spot to get ready!

The pretty is in the details here. The white heels featuring crystals (Badgley Mischka!!) are paired with the drop earrings. Peach, ivory roses, and anemones surround the gold-edged glass charger plate and gold cutlery. Light blue napkins sit on each setting, complementing the traditional bridal veil.

Bridal grace and style inspire the lovely updo and makeup that peek at us from behind the veil. The floral hairpiece features ivory and peach roses at the back of the updo, perfect for a Vancouver wedding reception.

We love that this styled shoot marries the best of Vancouver’s skyline with city sophistication (and local wedding pros who love both!). British Columbia weddings continue to show off the local love and talent in the industry.

Gorgeous Green Wedding for Sydney + Travis.. the theme for the day was greenery everywhere! We love all the details. Palms, ferns, and small wooden crates, We are so happy that Sydney + Travis are featured in our 2021 West Coast Weddings Vancouver issue.

The couple chose to celebrate their nuptials at Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby. The Pacific Northwest-inspired architecture is paired with spectacular views and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Riverway Golf Course.

Sydney is so lovely in her plunging neckline gown and veil (which is tucked into her hair knot style). Travis is very dapper in a grey suit and tie. The lush greenery bridal bouquet has white buds peeking out and complements the groom’s boutonniere.

The greenery theme is unique in the use of tropical leaves. The ceremony is where it begins with tropical leaves all around the wood backdrop and in the aisle arrangements. The reception tables feature tropical leaves and ferns in vases. The wedding cake, of course, has tropical greenery along each tier. The crisp, lush look is perfect for the green views all around the venue.

Sydney + Travis’s gorgeous green wedding is one for the books. It ended perfectly with the couple’s first dance on the deck as the sunset. The entire day is an eco look with lots of friends and family. The essentials for Vancouver newlyweds!

IDO Studio Bride on Staircase Royal Rebel Bride at Yaletown Vancouver Loft

Instead of debating between the traditional white wedding dresses and black ones to make a statement, why not both? Walking down to the metallic circular arch with a feminine mermaid lace gown, entering the reception like a princess in an adorable ball gown, and concluding the night in a stunning black dress to create everlasting images for the guests. The staircase poses are a royal rebel bride setting, for sure!

The floral designers from IDO Studio embraced the uniqueness by including queen protea in the bouquet to symbolize the beauty of a strong and powerful bride. The powerful colour selection is carried through the floral decor and is especially complementary to the brick walls.

Classy black and gold, with a touch of the red invitation suite and gold wax seal, set the tone of the wedding. The reception wooden beauty was styled with a black runner, candles, and hand-tied napkins and is surrounded by gold Chiavari chairs with black cushions. The crowning touch is adding gold chargers, cutleries, and glasses. Red and coffee break rose centerpieces with gold leaves made the tablescape glamorous. The tablescape is finished with the settings, topped by chic black and gold menus and red roses on the matte black dining plates.

Heritage brick-and-beam construction with contemporary coastal designs of The Loft at the Earls Yaletown was perfect backdrop for this shoot. The venue has many cool and modern furniture and decorations. We especially love the emerald green sofa, black staircase, and neon sign which added stylish elements to the photos.

Old Hollywood + Modern Rose Wedding Inspiration is all that a true Vancouver wedding should be. Strong design and colours come together to create a regal vibe that will make for a lasting impression!

Downtown Devotion for Brittany + Justin

Downtown Devotion for Brittany + Justin….an intimate Vancouver wedding filled with fall colours and candlelight. Brittney and Justin made some large changes due to the Covid restrictions. They went from a party of 140 to 22 and did not regret a thing. We were so impressed by their je ne sais quois (attitude) that we featured the nuptials in the 2021 Vancouver West Coast Weddings Magazine.

The couple realized they could take over a small local bistro restaurant with such a small guest list. The establishment even had the perfect name as Fiore + Famiglia means Flowers and Family! The Italian theme and rustic yet modern interior simpled up the wedding decor.

The guys started their day at a craft brewery where some amazing photos were taken and then met up with the ladies in the middle of the city for a first look. This is just one of the most adorable first look scenes. Brittany + Justin took a photoshoot tour using historical buildings and the Vancouver skyline as backdrops to their day.

We love the floral style of this wedding. The bride and her bridesmaids carried lush bouquets of burgundy and peach tones. The bride’s party wears gowns in tones of burgundy and blush while the bride rocks a unique off-the-shoulder lace gown with ruffles down her arms. The floral palette is carried through the ceremony and reception on tables and the arch.

The reception was met with delight as delicious cuisine, and a first dance entertained everyone. The night was finished with a champagne tower poured by the bride and groom to replace the traditional cutting of the cake. We love that this couple epitomized British Columbia with their chill take on pandemic wedding planning. It turned out that a sophisticated downtown devotion event made for lifetime memories.
