Vows in the Vineyard
Korbin and Caitlyn’s stunning vineyard wedding at Church & State Wines on Vancouver Island inspires West Coast couples looking to impress. Every unique detail was designed by a bride with a vision who especially loves the chic aesthetic of dried grasses. Guests were wowed by the ceremony with a view and sipping on the chosen wines for the special day (the couple and their families enjoyed that process!).
Caitlyn was a vision in a lace-fitted silhouette gently flaring to a gown sweep ideally suited to a vineyard setting along with a ceremony veil. She chose the blush pink bridesmaid dresses as a color highlight in the cream palette—a design choice that drew the eye to the lovely ladies. The gentlemen got the assignment as they sported beige suits and dark ties, completing the stylish look.
Caitlyn chose a unique floral design (thank you, Pinterest!). Dried palm branches, pampas grass, foxtails, and fresh roses were paired with dried grasses and finished with flowing blush silk ribbons. The simplicity is an illusion as each bouquet is fashioned onto a surface design, and the fresh roses meant it was down to the last minute. It was worth it, as the bouquets were gorgeous and extraordinary!
Church & State Winery offers several ceremony site options, but Caitlyn and Korbin chose the sweeping views of the grand balconies that wrap around the tasting rooms. This is an excellent idea in case of bad weather—the view without the worry! Thankfully, the skies remained clear, and guests watched the couple exchange vows with an epic pampas grass ceremony ring as the backdrop. Wicker baskets filled with pampas grass lined the aisle, where guests enjoyed champagne to celebrate the nuptials.
The newlyweds chose to have a photo session at the nearby Butterfly Gardens before the full-course meal with a harmonious wine pairing. The decor theme was carried onto the tables with dried grass and white rose arrangements surrounded by trendy gold candle holders, wicker charger plates, perfectly matched scalloped-edged plates, linen napkins, gold cutlery, and lovely name placeholders. Even the boho table linens were in the game, featuring tiny gold threads that shone in the candlelight. We love that the bride and groom sat in front of a playful LED light sign saying, ‘All you need is love,’ lit by a twinkle drapery backdrop. Korbin and Caitlyn’s dreams came to life around them, and they couldn’t have been happier.
The evening was simply divine. The couple opened the dance as the twinkling lights and candles took over the night. Guests were in the mood to party, and the dance floor was busy! The cake was cut (sitting on a wine barrel, of course), and memories were made. Vows in the Vineyard inspire couples looking for their signature look. Thank you, Caitlyn + Korbin, for appearing in our latest West Coast Weddings Magazine Vancouver Island issue.
