West Coast Weddings Magazine Vancouver 2024

A new issue, new ownership, and a new outlook! West Coast Weddings Magazine released the newest 2024 British Columbia issue with an emphasis on the Greater Vancouver area including weddings and events from Vancouver Island and the Interior. The future plan is to have issues covering the entire province as well as a Vancouver Island local issue.

The latest magazine builds on the previous 10 issues with a downtown Vancouver fashion spread, a local designer highlight page, and a new look to the vendor directory. The beautiful venues of the Greater Vancouver area grace several pages along with real weddings and styled shoots. 

The new issue surprised guests at the West Coast Weddings Industry Evening at Hilton Vancouver Metrotown and everyone was leafing through the glossy pages! Couples who attended the West Coast Wedding Show on May 5th found the issue in their swag bags and expressed their appreciation for a magazine that highlights local talent.

We can’t thank Gabe McClintock Photography enough for this issue’s cover photo. It was a unanimous decision that this photo was THE one! The wildness of the ocean symbolizes the journey the couple is embarking on, and that is emblematic of our ventures as well. It’s a match made in heaven, so to speak! 

Looking forward, we plan to focus on British Columbia vendors and the clients for whom they create lifelong memories. Enjoy the pages of West Coast Weddings Magazines + stay tuned for more announcements and events!

In the charming town of Chilliwack, Vienna and Quentin embarked on a delightful skating escapade for their pre-wedding session. Surrounded by towering mountains, their love took center stage, offering a breathtaking backdrop for Janessa Alicia to immortalize their shared joy and tenderness.

Into the Woods Wedding Inspo…what a gorgeous forest elopement shoot featuring lush greenery and yards of lace! Vancouver Island is famous for its rainforests and natural beauty, just waiting for lovers to exchange vows. 

The sun-dappled scenery is the perfect backdrop for a newlywed oasis. We can’t say enough about the gorgeous gowns by a local designer. She Wore Flowers. The gown pictured above is called ‘Willow’ and comprises two different gowns; a silky golden nude charmeuse inner slip dress and the separate lace outer layer. The leg slit adds a tiny bit of sexy to the bohemian look. A second gown aptly named ‘Midnight Primrose’ as the colors seem to change ever so slightly as the tulle falls and gathers as you walk. A dress specially designed to dance away the night under the stars! We admit it’s hard to tear your eyes off the bride, but the groom holds his own in a relaxed charcoal grey suit. 

The upscale boho decor is perfect in this forest setting. Blown-colored glass, pampas grass, and unique pillows are wonderful places for the newlyweds to canoodle. The choice of delicate lace for the table is offset by multiple ivory and blush dishes, antique glasses, and gold cutlery + taper candles—a lush look for the naturally beautiful venue. And the dessert table features delicious looks and a sign that announces it all! 

Into the Woods, Wedding Inspo marries the classic and trendy into a lovely fusion of boho forest. Looking to recreate this look for your nuptials? Even if you have a more traditional venue, find a local spot of forest for your photos and set up a similar vibe for photos. Or choose to go full-on with a wedding in the woods!

Autumn Wedding Elegance! A fall forest romance with pampas grass, copper orange gown, feathers, and pears. It’s an authentic west coast take on a unique autumn palette. We loved the Four Seasons shoots so much that we featured the decor series in our 2021 print edition, so you are also invited to the spring palette! 

Autumn is our favourite nuptial season for so many reasons. The gorgeous and vibrant colours are so rich. The delicious tastes to share with guests. The sublime beauty of the west coast as a quieter time sets in. And this palette inspiration showcases all of that and more.

This autumnal-inspired tableau is wonderfully elegant, romantic, pure, and organic. Warm browns, coppers, and greenery bring together the blooms and pampas grass to celebrate fall in all its beauty. We love the details of a single pear sitting in a nest of feathers complemented by an array of taper candles. And the simplicity of the cappuccino roses and dusty orange gown is utterly perfect.

Autumn Wedding Elegance is a west coast feeling that we love to see in the forests of British Columbia. And this palette has all the feels of a Renoir painting in the naturally beautiful rainforest.

Spring Romance Wedding Inspo! The spring vibe is so pretty with a blush pink-themed garden table and bride arrayed in veiling. The robin’s egg blue dishware and small pewter birds are tres adorable. Did we mention the bride wears flowers like they are diamonds? We were so in love with the ‘Seasons of Change’ project that we showcased all of it in the 2021 issue of West Coast Weddings Magazine. So keep your eyes peeled for the other seasons coming soon!

The bride is a darling with a whole ethereal feel.  Every detail is superb in soft shades of blush with a ribbon around her waist. Effortless ruffles make the look whimsical and reflect the magic of all that tulle. The piece de resistance is the live floral headdress that spills down the front of the gown.

The garden tableau is filled with peonies! They spill across the table, sit prettily on plates, and decorate the white-iced naked cake. Tall taper candles in silver pewter holders stand tall amid all the robin’s egg blue and bashful pink below. (Look at what is in that glass box filled with moss!) The small grey birds are just the perfect whimsical touch. 

This spring romance wedding inspo reminds us of the quote, “Take us to spring – let the flowers bloom, and our love grow.”
